What Is the DTV Visa?
The Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) is a 5-year multiple-entry visa that allows each stay of up to 180 days. It is issued electronically as a PDF and is designed for people who want maximum flexibility to live in and travel to Thailand over a long period.
After 180 days, you simply exit Thailand and re-enter to receive a fresh 180-day stay β as many times as you like within the 5-year validity of the visa. No need to reapply for a new visa each time.
π Electronic visa (E-visa): The DTV is issued as an official PDF document β there is no sticker in your passport. You must carry your DTV E-visa (in PDF format) every time you travel to Thailand. Upon arrival, simply present your DTV PDF to the immigration officer. Our VIP Fast Track service ensures you receive the correct 180-day entry stamp smoothly and without any complications at the immigration counter.
DTV Soft Power Activities
DTV Application Options
You can apply for a DTV visa based on one of three options:
β
Option 1 β Muay Thai Training (Soft Power) β RECOMMENDED
- Based on enrolment in an approved Muay Thai training program under Thailand's Soft Power initiative
- We provide and fully guarantee all required school documentation for visa application
- The most reliable, hassle-free, and straightforward application route
β
Option 2 β Thai Cooking Course (Soft Power) β Recommended
- Based on enrolment in an approved Thai cooking course under Thailand's Soft Power initiative
- We provide and fully guarantee all required course documentation for visa application
- Equally reliable as the Muay Thai route β same approval process. Suitable for individuals with limited mobility or those who believe Muay Thai may not be suitable for them
β οΈ Option 3 β Freelance / Remote Work Documents
- Only available if you provide your own employment or freelance documents
- We do not provide, arrange, or verify work-related documents
- We cannot guarantee approval for applications based on client-supplied work documents, as we cannot verify their origin or validity
β οΈ For this reason, we strongly recommend applying via the Muay Thai or Thai cooking route, for which we provide all documentation and offer a full guarantee.
π‘ Good to know: Even if you obtain your DTV visa under the Soft Power category (Muay Thai or Cooking), you are still fully permitted to work remotely as a freelancer or remote worker for foreign clients while in Thailand. The visa privileges are exactly the same!
π Where to Apply β Embassy Options
Option A: Apply by Yourself (Documents Only)
If you prefer to apply for the visa yourself β ideally in your home country or country of residence β we can provide you with fully certified and verified Soft Power documentation (for Muay Thai or Thai cooking courses).
π‘ Tip: The Thai cooking course is a perfect alternative for older individuals, those with limited mobility, non-sporty types, or anyone who feels Muay Thai training is not suitable for them.
Option B: Full VIP DTV Package (With Our Assistance)
If you prefer a hassle-free process, we offer complete visa assistance. We most commonly arrange applications in the following countries:
- Laos: Processing time approximately 5β7 working days. Around 80% of cases require a personal visit to the Thai embassy in Laos β our team will assist you throughout the entire process.
- Vietnam: Processing time approximately 2β3 weeks.
- Cambodia: Processing time approximately 2β3 weeks.
βΉοΈ Available destinations and requirements can change. Please always confirm current options with our team before making travel arrangements.
β³ Flexibility While Your Application Is Being Processed
After submitting your DTV application, you have full flexibility. While you wait for approval, you may:
- Stay in the country where you applied
- Return immediately to Thailand and wait until your visa is issued
- Travel to any other country
β
Once your DTV is approved, you can return to Thailand directly or via a visa run. Upon your arrival, we will arrange VIP Fast Track service at the airport to ensure you receive the correct 180-day entry stamp smoothly.
π What We Need From You
We provide a complete turnkey solution β we prepare all required documents, communicate with the embassy, and handle any additional requests. In most cases, we only need:
- A copy of your passport
- One passport-sized photo
- One half-body photo (with a solid white background only)
- Bank statements for a minimum of the last 3 months
π Important Notice on Eligibility: We do not offer DTV visa services for all nationalities. Due to embassy procedures, internal policies, and visa history considerations, we may not be able to accept applications from certain countries. We always check your passport and visa history first before confirming whether we can assist you. Contact us and send a copy of your passport for a free assessment.
π° Pricing
There is no fixed price for the complete DTV visa service. (Note: The DTV visa government fee is approximately 12,000 THB.)
The final cost for our services, documents, or packages depends on:
- Your passport nationality
